Why was Salvera created?

The magic began in the countryside Every other week we went out to the country house in Örbyhus in Uppsala. A quiet place without traffic and noise. This is where the interest in plants began, where the family could explore nature, carve bows, pick flowers and grow crops.

Then Apollo came into our lives!

Several years ago we took over Apollo, an Amstaff with a lot of love. A strong, mischievous, stubborn and loving soul who was always ready for adventure. Dry cracked paws & itchy skin dampened the spark in him, so we started various treatments to help him. Nothing helped. Then one day the idea came to me that I should create an ointment using experiences from traditional herbal medicine. With some experimentation, Salvera was created!

Through infusions - we created an extract of plants into oil at room temperature. The active properties of the plants are transferred to the oil. When the process is complete, the herbs are strained from the oil and mixed with melted beeswax.

With accumulated knowledge of the power of plants and traditional home remedies, Salvera Tassalva was finally created, a mixture of 12 herbs, high-quality olive oil and beeswax from the family farm. With inspiration and beeswax from the country house where we grew up!
The ointment was a success for Apollo. His redness disappeared, the itching stopped quickly and the dry cracks disappeared.

But then came the day when our great hero disappeared... Apollo is no longer with us today, but the urge to help other dogs is greater than ever - with Apollo, our pioneer who paves the way for success for us!

My name is Martin and together with my wife, Jenny, we run the company Salvera in Hässelby, Stockholm. Today we live a life together that is characterized by cultivation on our allotment which is located a stone's throw from Hässelby Castle, where we also got married in the summer of 2024. Our goal in the future is to move to a place where we can expand our business with the cultivation of medicinal plants and build on traditional home remedies. With the ambition to help more dogs with our natural paw products.

Salvera is a Swedish word and means 'to save & take care of'
